What does the phone system cost?

What are the phone usage costs when you use Automator.AI?

- Phone number purchase: starts from US$1.50 per number (varies per country code)

- Making calls: $0.035 per minute

- Receiving calls: $0.0213 per minute

- Sending SMS: $0.02 per segment (use this SMS segment calculator)

$10 wallet credit will give you about

- Making calls: 285 calls

- Receiving calls: 470 calls

- Sending SMS: 505 segments

Carrier Fees

There's a corresponding carrier fee for every SMS sent and its cost differs on a carrier-by-carrier basis. Below are the carrier fees that is usually expected per SMS segment:

- AT&T: $0.01

- Verizon: $0.01

- T-Mobile: $0.02

- US Cellular: $0.02

- All other carriers: $0.02

A2P Phone Registration

In 2023, phone carriers imposed new regulations to register, monitor, and if necessary restrict how a business use the SMS services. Additional registration costs will depend on your registration type.

Important! When your credit balance falls to $0, the system will automatically reloads your account wallet with $10 billed to the credit card on file.

Does the email system cost separately?

Yes. Sending and receiving emails costs US$0.001 per email. A $10 wallet credit will give you about 9,870 emails.

There is no limit on the number of characters you can put in your email. However, the file size limit you can attach to the email is 5MB.

10DLC, or 10-digit long code, is a local phone number with a local area code. To comply with A2P 10DLC, businesses using virtual phone services like the Automator Phone System need to register their phone numbers, brand, and campaigns with The Campaign Registry, a third-party organization. Brand registration ensures your business is identified across all carrier networks, while campaign registration specifies the types of messages you plan to send.

Once registered, your campaigns are assigned trust scores by major carriers, ranging from 0 to 100. Trust scores determine the maximum number of sent messages allowed for each campaign, based on various factors such as use case, message type, and size. Higher trust scores lead to better deliverability and functionality.
